# Histrova License Agreement

Histrova (the extension for VS Code and editors based on it, with its documentation, graphics and packages;
"the Software") is the property of Histrova. The Software is licensed, not sold. By installing or using it,
you agree to this agreement.

## What you may do

1. **Use it.** You may install and use the Software on any number of your own computers, for personal or
   work purposes, including inside a company.
2. **Get it from official places.** Copies must come from the Visual Studio Marketplace, Open VSX, the
   official website (https://histrova.pages.dev), or Histrova directly.

## What you may not do

Unless Histrova agrees in writing, you may not:

1. copy, publish, share, rent, sell or otherwise distribute the Software or any part of it (sharing a link
   to an official place is fine);
2. modify it, or decompile, disassemble, deobfuscate or otherwise reverse-engineer it, except where the law
   allows this despite this restriction;
3. use any part of it, or knowledge gained from reverse-engineering it, to build another product;
4. remove or change any copyright notice or this agreement.

## Your data

The Software runs on your computer and works on your Git repositories there; it does not upload your code.
Optional anonymous usage statistics are described in the privacy notice
(https://github.com/Histrova/histrova/blob/main/PRIVACY.md).

## Changes

Histrova may update, change or stop providing the Software, and may update this agreement for future
versions.

## No warranty

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING FITNESS FOR A
PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. Keep backups: Git history editing changes repositories.

## Limitation of liability

TO THE EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW, HISTROVA IS NOT LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES, DATA LOSS OR OTHER LIABILITY
ARISING FROM THE USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE SOFTWARE.

## Ending this agreement

This agreement ends automatically if you break it; you must then stop using the Software and delete your
copies. You may end it at any time by uninstalling the Software.

## Third-party software

The Software includes open-source components under their own licenses, listed in THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.md,
which comes with the Software.
